You Know You Love Me. XOXO.

Tonight was the premiere of Gossip Girl Season 3 and it would be fashionably irresponsible of me not to watch it. I have to admit I was extremely pleased with Blair's new grown up look, though the all over print brocade day dress was a bit too grown up for Blair, the gold did make it easier to swallow. Jenny's Missoni dress that she showcased at the very start of the episode was ever so chic considering she will be ruling Constance this year as the new queen bee and I found myself quite jealous of Vanessa's cute little chevron printed shorts, though her accessories were a bit too luxe for her character. And the boy didn't help in the accessory department either. (I'm seriously creeped out by Rufus and Lily's love child that seems to have an agenda of his own.) As for Serena, I went gaga over her colorful little blazer and black romper, a very unique choice for a girl who practically never wears her size, however it's clear she's got a shape under her oversized tanks and vests now that she's stepped into the spotlight. But don't take my word for all of it. I found these great little video blogs from CWTV by Eric Daman, the costume designer for this season of Gossip Girl, where he explains the style choices for all of those pretty little faces we love and hate so much.

Blair. To wear a headband or not to wear a headband, that is the question.

Serena. Star light, star bright, see her star shining just a little too bright.

Jenny. Jenny is still a punk rocker?

Vanessa. Vanity does not suit her.

And in case you are still stuck in the Hamptons and haven't been kept abreast of the latest, Anna Sui's collection of Gossip Girl inspired garments for Target launched just yesterday. With up to five outfits per gal, it'll be sometime before we find ourselves in need of a gossip fix.

Blair. Personally i love the lace mini dress with the ceylon blue bow and long sleeves. Very straight laced Blair and very fun. I would probably pair it with a pair of blue (any shade) tights, patent leather creme mary jane pumps and a creme bow headband, of course.

Serena. A very sharp interpretation of Serena's wardrobe with lots of spikes, sparkles and strong silhouettes, I wasn't as impressed with this collection as with the others. Though I do have a soft spot for leather jackets and mini-skirts. I would however, switch out the black top for, say, a coral or mauve loose silk blouse and switch out those tights and black pumps for a pair of colorful platform strappy sandals, Manolo of course.

Jenny. Anna kept the color combos to a minimum and honestly I feel that the red was not representative of Jenny's black and grey personality. A blush pink or cherry red would have worked far better than the orange red crayon look it seems we have on our hands, and let's face it, Jenny's a senior now. But there was one saving grace piece in this set, the black lace halter dress with the empire waist harkens back to Jenny's vintage days when she would have traded her entire wardrobe for a Valentino gown (of wait, she did that). If you really want to make this dress stand our like Jenny would, I would throw on either a short cropped tux jacket or a extra long cardigan in either ice blue or a oil based color like mustard or olive, studded booties and a cross body bag, Marc By Marc Jacobs of course.

Vanessa. Even though I feel the silk blouse and plaid mini skirt is far more Blair than Vanessa, I like it all the same. Throw with it a fur collared coat in mocha and you're set for either Central Park snow or long walks from the subway station home through Brooklyn. But if you really want to emulate the Vanessa vibe, I would opt for the silk scarf dress in that very uniformed ethnic print. Toss the t-shirt, load up on the chains, chunky rings and chocolate colored leggings and you may not fit in on the upper east side but you wouldn't want to, now would you? Just make sure to make it clear you got all your accessories from your mother's closet of course.

<3 stay classy
